Witness appeal: Car transporter carrying ten cars overturns

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with serious injuries when a car transporter came off the road.

It happened on the A361 in Tiverton on Monday.

A car transporter carrying about ten cars left the road and rolled onto its side - leaving the driver trapped for more than two hours.

Emergency services worked to free the man, who was taken to The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for several hours whilst a recovery was made for all of the vehicles.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the transporter prior to the collision.
