Police undercover lorry stamps out dangerous driving
The latest weapon being used by the police to deal with the problem of dangerous driving on roads across Devon and Cornwall might surprise you.
For the last three weeks, officers have been patrolling the roads in a lorry. From the raised cab, they've got a better chance of spotting motorists using their mobile phones.
A lorry, is being used by Devon and Cornwall police this week to help catch law breaking drivers.
This operation is the culmination of a three week campaign by the police to target what they call the "fatal four" motoring offences: using a mobile, drink or drug driving, speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.
They've also been using unmarked cars with automatic number plate recognition cameras.
As we're now in Christmas Party season, there are renewed warnings about drinking and driving, not just on the night but also the morning after.
