Three weekly bin collection proposed in Somerset
People living in Somerset could move to a three-weekly bin collection service next year.
Somerset Waste Partnership says the move would encourage more residents to recycle and could save about £1.7m a year.
Non-recyclable waste in the region is currently collected every fortnight.
If the new system is approved, it could come into operation from autumn next year.
The partnership manages recycling and waste services for Mendip, Sedgemoor, South Somerset and West Somerset district councils.
