Thousands of people have already been descending on Bath for the first weekend of their famous Christmas Market.

Heading there yourself? Plan your journey carefully:

TRAIN

Great Western Railway is extending their services to and from Bath Spa all weekend, but say that people should allow extra time to travel as the station may still be very crowded.

Especially after a power cut yesterday took our a signalling system - people hoping to visit the market yesterday could have rearranged their plans for Sunday.

30 extra trains will run between Bath and Swindon and Westbury; and between Bath and Bristol.

ROAD

Organisers say if you'e coming by car you may be better off using one of the Park and Ride services into the city as spaces can fill up very quickly.
