Truro explodes with colour for City of Lights festival

Truro is the place to be tonight as the annual City of Lights Parade takes place.

The spectacular event sees hundreds of school children parade through the streets, followed by thousands of others eager to get a glimpse of the dazzling display.

The theme this year is 'Tell Me a Story', and organisers say it's captured the imagination of artists in residence, school children and college students.

The event also marks the turning on of the city's Christmas lights.
