Photos emerge of prisoners showing off smuggled takeaways

An investigation has been launched after photos emerge of inmates showing off smuggled steaks and takeaways inside a prison.

The pictures - which were taken on an illegally-possessed mobile phone inside HMP Guys Marsh, in Dorset, and posted to social media - also appeared to depict drug possession.

It's believed four of the six men at the jail near near Shaftesbury who were pictured have been moved to other prisons.

Some of the pictures posted to social media appeared to show prisoners indulging in a range of smuggled food.

Fish and chips, steaks, burgers were all featured in the images, while some images depicted eggs being fried and omelettes prepared.

In other pictures, prisoners appeared to be in possession of drugs and home-made vodka.
