Woman killed by tractor

A woman in her 60's has been killed by a tractor near St Mewan, St Austell.

She and another driver had parked their cars (a Peugeot 108 and a Fiat Punto) on the grass verge of the A390 after a minor crash on Tuesday 15th November.

Both vehicles and the driver of the Peugeot were then struck by a passing tractor.

The driver of the Peugeot sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Police are in the process of informing next of kin. The road was closed for six and a half hours while recovery was completed.
