Police appeal for witnesses to alleged bus assault

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an alleged assault on a bus near Torquay.

Reports say the victim was bruised and lost a tooth after being punched in the face by a local man who became aggressive after stroking the victim's dog.

Police believe the 56-year-old local man was not known to the victim.

The incident happened on Sunday June 26 on a bus at the Penn Inn roundabout between 6.45pm and 7pm.

Police believe the men in these CCTV images taken from the bus have information that can help them with their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises them, or who witnessed the incident, has been asked to contact the police.
