Thousands donated to help soldiers traumatised by conflict
The charity Help for Heroes is giving £400,000 to help former servicemen and women with mental health problems - they call the 'Hidden Wounds'.
Many have been left traumatised by the conflicts in which they've served. They're now getting specialised help from the South West Veterans Mental Health Service.
Many service people have returned from Afghanistan, Iraq, and other conflicts with life-changing injuries, but many more have returned with scars that can't be seen. They're often reluctant to seek help to deal with the trauma they've experienced, and in the past they often found that help to be inadequate.
In John Andrews' report, he meets Chris Jones from Ivybridge who was discharged from the Army Air Corps after physical injuries led him on a downward spiral.
