Great West Run: Everything you need to know

Thousands of runners are expected to take to the streets of Exeter tomorrow as the Great West Run returns to the city once more.

The gruelling 13.1 mile race takes in most of the city's sites, but will mean many roads are shut.

The village, in Belmont Park, will open at 7.30am, while the race starts at 9am.

Runners are expected to finish the race from 10.05am onwards.

ROADS USED BY THE RUNNERS:

  • Exeter High Street

  • Okehampton Road

  • Exwick Road

  • St Andrew's Road

  • Cowley Hill

  • Stoke Road,

  • Cowley Bridge Road

  • Princes of Wales Road

  • Union Road

  • Old Tiverton Road,

  • Pinhoe Road,

  • Blackboy Road and will finish the race at the finish line on Sidwell Street.

Roads will begin shutting at 6am and, organisers say, will reopen once the runners have passed by.

It's hoped the majority of roads will be open to traffic by 1pm.
