The Girl with the Ponytail - meeting the woman who inspired more of Picasso's work than anyone else
The woman who inspired more works of art by Picasso than anyone else now lives in South Devon.Aged 81, Lydia Corbett, was The Girl with the Ponytail. She sat as Picasso's muse for several months in 1954 when whe was just 19 and he was 73. As a new exhibition of previously unseen works by Picasso opens in London, Lydia, who used to be called Sylvette, is telling her own story. A book, I was Sylvette, is being launched alongside an exhibition of her art.
