South West lung disease sufferers back awareness campaign
People in the South West who're suffering from a fatal lung disease are backing a national campaign to highlight its awareness.
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is said to affect 15,000 people in the UK, who're expected to die three to five years from diagnosis.
Now a video featuring television presenter Myleene Klass has been released to publicise the effect it has on sufferers and their families.
Taking part in the video was Ann Bennett from Mawnan Smith near Falmouth. Ann, who's 73, was diagnosed with the fatal condition two years ago:
But it hasn't stopped Ann from taking part in the village's fun run. This year's event is on Sunday and for Ann it's another chance to raise awareness. She's already got her wig and sash ready.
Peter King from Bishopsteignton near Exeter is also in the video. He was given just a few years to live when he was diagnosed with IPF.
The 73-year-old has survived five years longer than the experts thought. His oxygen tank now goes with him everywhere - even travelling the world.
