Graphic content: Gloucestershire comedian shares photos from sandfly attack

Gloucestershire comedian Dom Joly has shared graphic photos of the injuries he suffered after being bitten by sandflies.

Dom who lives in Brockhampton near Cheltenham was in the Pacific islands filming for TV series The Island with Bear Grylls, when he was attacked by sandflies.

The series involves 10 celebrities being dropped on an uninhabited island in the Pacific and told to survive with just some basic tools.

The wound was still healing 6 months after filming had finished.
