Video released of rare baby red panda
A baby red panda born at a zoo in Cornwall has been confirmed as a boy, after his first vet check up.
Koda, whose name means "little bear", was born on 10 July to parents Jai-Li and Lang Za.
Paradise Park in Hayle have released this footage of the cub's vet check:
Koda is now two months old, and will achieve his full adult colouring in another month.
He will start eating solid foods soon, weaning at around six to eight months of age.
It's been a great summer for red pandas in the South West - earlier this week another zoo released the first photos of a set of twins born last month.
Found in Nepal, Bhutan and China, the red panda lives among bamboo forests and spend much of their time in trees.
They are classed as vulnerable in some areas, with their population expected to decline by 10% every 10 years.
It means that when he grows up, Koda could be a valuable part of keeping the species going.
