Halliwell 'besotted with Becky Godden' court told

Accused murderer Christopher Halliwell was 'besotted' by sex worker Becky Godden-Edwards - a court has been told.

Today, a former prostitute known to the court as Miss X - to obscure her identity - told the court that a taxi driver called Chris used to be a regular client of Becky's.

"She said he was one of her regulars. I think he was besotted with Becky. She used to use him for a lift to get drugs. He used to give her money to stop working."

Miss X also said Mr Halliwell went with her on two occasions.

The court heard he then told Miss X to not tell Becky he had been with her.

Speaking from the dock, he asked Miss X "Please take a good look at me and confirm the person you are talking about is me."Miss X: "Yes, it is."
