Fire destroys part of Exeter's Cavern pub
Firefighters from across Devon have been battling a fire at a pub in the centre of Exeter overnight.
Emergency services attended the venue on Queen Street around 10 o clock yesterday evening after a fire alarm sounded.
The club's basement - where the fire began - was severely damaged.
Crews using breathing apparatus and hose reel jets were mobilised from Topsham, Crediton and Danes Castle.
The fire was eventually brought under control. The fire service says the cause of the fire was accidental.
There are no reports of injuries.
