Minicab driver 'led police' to body of Swindon woman
A jury has been told a Swindon minicab driver led police to the body of a Swindon woman who had been missing for nearly a decade.
Christopher Halliwell denies murdering 20 year old Becky Godden in January 2003. He is representing himself in court.
The prosecuting barrister said Becky was last seen outside a nightclub in Swindon. She had an argument with a minicab driver but then got into his car and was not seen again.
The jury was told that in 2011 Mr Halliwell led police to a field in Gloucestershire where he said he had buried the body of a woman between 2003 and 2005 - he couldn't remember exactly when.
The court was also told Mr Halliwell, who is 52, is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of Swindon woman Sian O'Callaghan in March 2011.
The trial continues.
