Would you trash your wedding dress? Friends go to town on their gowns
Traditionally, you only get to wear your wedding dress once....not so for one brave group of friends from Wiltshire.
The carefree brides plunged into the sea and threw paint at one another - all in a bid to deliberately trash their precious wedding dresses.
Before they 'took the plunge' into the cold waters off Cornwall, Genia Roberts, Charlotte Mason, Jen Taphouse, and Gemma Drury looked as glamorous and poised as any bride:
The four friends have all married over the last ten years - sharing the same wedding photographer.
After walking down the aisle in the gorgeous gowns, the women were sad to realise they would never have chance to wear them again.
So instead of leaving the dresses hanging in their wardrobes, the brides opted to make the most of their outfits - by destroying them.
It all started with a dip in the ocean at Bude in Cornwall...
Beautiful photos taken by Colin Norwood and Glenn Stanley of Your Digital Memories show the glamorous friends - with full hair and makeup - walking into the waves.
The salty, muddy water drenched the dresses and made quick work of the bridal hair and makeup.
But that wasn't enough for the brave brides. They wanted to make sure the dresses were utterly trashed.
So they turned out in a garden in Wiltshire to have a paint fight using brightly coloured paint powder.
From bright blues, dusky pinks, and cheerful yellows...the dressed became a colourful canvas within minutes.
Accounts assistant Gemma said she initially thought her friends - who have all got married in the past few years - were "crazy", though added that it was a great opportunity to take some beautiful photographs.
Photographer Colin Norwood said that Charlotte's dress turned out so beautifully that it's currently touring around a few wedding fairs.
He says the dress might inspire brides to have fun with their dress after the big day is over, and re-live "all the fun of a wedding day without the stress!"
