Warning after rogue trader incidents in Cheltenham
Police in Cheltenham are urging the public to be aware of rogue traders after two recent incidents.
One happened on Friday 26 August on Hillside Gardens, when a man cleaned a property’s guttering without asking the home owner and then demanded £500 for the work. The elderly victim paid the money.

dressed in dark clothing, a dark blue or green cap and was carrying an orange Sainsbury’s bag

This man conducted work at the property on request back in March but has now returned to commit this offence.
Another incident occurred on Malleson Road. A few months ago an elderly woman, had her driveway sprayed with weed killer. The job was only partially finished so she paid some of the money. Last week, the man returned demanding the remaining cash.

Police say they don't want anyone else falling victim to rogue traders, and have issued crime prevention advice.
Anyone with information on either of the above incidents should call police on 101.
