Lifeboat crew rescues hen party from River Dart

A bridesmaid who wanted a 'low key' hen do came unstuck - after the whole party had to be rescued from the River Dart in Devon by the RNLI.

The four women were celebrating Amy Sanderson's upcoming wedding near Dartmouth on Saturday when their hire vessel became stuck in mud as the tide went out.

An RNLI spokesperson confirmed that the women were travelling down the river to spend the evening in Dartmouth when they got into difficulty.
