Changes have been made to a new £2.9 million roundabout in Somerset that residents say is a menace.

There have been a number of accidents and near misses at the junction in Bridgwater, blamed on confusing lights and road markings.

Now Somerset County Council has amended the sequencing on the signals to improve traffic flow.

This video was sent to us by one of the many motorists worried about the number of accidents and near misses on this 41 traffic light roundabout.

Cars approaching from the right are inadvertently going through a red light.

At just three-weeks-old it was already so notorious residents like Keith Pascall were sent leaflets by politicians promising they'll campaign to get it improved.

Lighting engineers have since tweaked the sequences, after complaints lorries were blocking the view of some red lights and the layout was too confusing.

Now more lights go red at the same time.

But it's not just the lights that are making the roundabout confusing - the road markings are also causing chaos.
