£10,000 worth of silver stolen from village church

Thousands of pounds worth of silverware has been stolen from a village church in Gloucestershire.

It happened sometime during the day on Tuesday 2 August. Entry was gained between 8am and 6.30pm to the church on Blockley High Street and around £10,000 worth of silverware was stolen.

The items include silver chalices, a plaque, communion sets and plates, with the oldest piece dating back to 1705.

Anyone with information or who has seen these items being sold should call police on 101 quoting incident 392 of 2 August.
