Firefighters tackle 'significant fire' at recycling plant
Firefighters are dealing with a "significant" fire at St Erth recycling centre.
The blaze started around 8pm on Monday evening and smoke could be seen for miles across Cornwall.
Seven crews of firefighters are tackling the blaze, and Devon and Cornwall Police are also in attendance. There are no reports of any injuries.
Residents in the local area and St Erth are advised to close windows and stay indoors, and police are asking people to avoid the area.
Some residents said the smoke completely blocked out the light, while others reported hearing explosions.
Train services at the nearby station are also disrupted.
