Who dumped 40 dead pigeons in the road?

Police are investigating the dumping of dozens of dead pigeons on a road near Honiton.

A member of the public reported this morning, 3 August, that dead birds had been placed in a line along the markings in the centre of the road on the A35 near Windmill Garage and along Battishorne Way and Weatherhill Road.

Devon and Cornwall Police is asking anyone who saw something strange overnight to get in touch. It is also asking local pigeon fanciers to check their flocks.

The Force Wildlife Crime Team and the RSPB has been informed.
