The Man Engine: Your pictures
The largest mechanical puppet in the UK is currently making its way across the South West and after asking for your photos, we've certainly not been disappointed.>Evie Pearce sent us these pictures, she says seeing the moving sculpture was a 'fantastic opportunity'.
Darren Blore took these photos of the mechanical puppet.
Today the huge puppet is Liskeard, and the town is celebrating his arrival with music, storytelling and pasties.>Liskeard was the home of the original man engine - the device to help miners get down the mines (and back up again) without the use of ladders. >The Fountain in the town was also built by Matthew Loam, in memory of his father Michael Loam, who introduced the very first man engine into the UK in 1842.>If you are taking any selfies with the Man Engine puppet - we'd love to see them westcountry@itv.com.
