Glastonbury may be over but the memories will live on - here are some of the best moments with our presenter Ian Axton

It was wet and it was muddy but it was also another great weekend of music at Glastonbury 2016.

Our own Ian Axton was one of the hundreds of thousands of fans to take to Worthy Farm over the long weekend and it looks like he enjoyed every minute.

We've taken a look at his Facebook page and brought together some of his memories of the weekend for all of you feeling a little depressed that it's at least another whole year until you can do it all again.

Getting to grips with Glasto

For many the sheer size of Glastonbury can be quite overwhelming and Ian was no different.

He decided to head up to Pennard Hill which gives a view over the whole of the Glastonbury site to get a proper view of what was going on.

A moment of Madness

One of the enduring allures of Glastonbury is the appearance of classic bands from years gone by. Ian's favourites were Madness who played the Pyramid stage on Saturday afternoon.

We do have to talk about the weather

It really was bad this year. Days of rain had left the ground in a particularly sorry state and further rain during the festival only added to the problems.

As always it was a case of keeping calm and carrying on.

"It's worse than the jungle"

Ian ran into George Shelley on Sunday afternoon. He said surviving I'm a Celebrity in the Australian jungle had been less taxing than a weekend at Glastonbury.

Rounding off the weekend in style

On Friday night it was Muse headlining, on Saturday it was a memorable set from Adele but on Sunday Coldplay stole the show as everyone expected with the final headline slot of the weekend.

It was, as Ian described it, a " surreal night", with Michael Eavis singing My Way at the end of the weekend's festivities.
