Melanie Hall's parents offer £50,000 reward

The parents of Melanie Hall have offered £50,000 of their own money as a reward to try to catch her killer.>The 25 year old disappeared after a night out in Bath in 1996, her body was found 13 years later - last week the police confirmed they were investigating new DNA evidence.>Today Melanie's father told us he felt the investigation is 'within touching distance' of a big breakthrough and he hoped the money would encourage someone to come forward with information.

The reward being offered by Melanie and Pat Hall is on top of the £10,000 reward already put up by Crimestoppers.

Upstairs, Melanie's bedroom is virtually unchanged from the day she left it. >The 25-year-old was last seen at the Cadillac's night club in Bath, back in 1996. It was thirteen years before her remains were found.

Over the next two decades there were nine arrests, but no one has ever been charged. But police are now developing DNA on an item found near where Melanie was discovered.
