Major traffic jams expected with the closure of the M32
Major traffic jams are expected around Bristol this weekend with the complete closure of the M32.
Parts of the motorway will be shut in both directions from eight o'clock tomorrow evening (Friday 10 June) until six o'clock on Monday morning. It's to allow the installation of a new bridge for the Metrobus route.

Bristol City Council have organised extra park and ride services that will operate over the weekend.

The closures will allow a new bridge to be put in place over the motorway for the MetroBus bus-only junction.
Bristol City Council, South Gloucestershire Council and MetroBus have worked with Highways England to minimise disruption resulting from this work so that it can be delivered as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Highways England will also be using the closures to undertake survey work at Eastville viaduct to reduce the need for future closures.
