Connor Jarvis: family confirm body found in Morocco is that of missing 19-year-old backpacker

The family of backpacker Connor Jarvis who went missing in Morocco have confirmed a body found over the weekend is that of their son.

The 19-year-old from Bath failed to board his return flight from Marrakech to the UK at the end of May.

Police searching for him recovered a body in the Atlas mountains yesterday.

Connor had made his way to Morocco for a planned eight-day trip in May.

Before he set off he spoke to a soldier from the Bath area who police are now appealing to get in touch with them.

His family released a statement this morning.
