Tragedy as young mum falls to her death on holiday
A young mum from Bristol has fallen to her death from a Tenerife hotel balcony.
Kerry Roberts is thought to have been on holiday with her ex-partner, their child and his parents when the tragedy occurred.
It is reported she fell from the 12th floor of the building in the resort of Adele in the early hours of Friday morning. Her death is being treated as a suspected suicide.
Tommy Lane, the boyfriend of the former pupil of Ashley Down school, wrote a moving tribute to the mum on Facebook.
Kerry's aunt Joy Woodington also wrote a heartbroken tribute to her niece on the social media site.
According to reports in Spain, a man was arrested but later released without charge and her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Her family and loved ones in Bristol paid tribute to the "gorgeous angel", and a book of condolence has been opened at her local church, where she volunteered as part of the food bank.
Church minister Dave Jeal, from St James' Church in Lockleaze, told the Bristol Post: "We're a very tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone. Kerry's mum is in bits. The family are devastated."
Ms Roberts is understood to have fallen onto a lawn below the apartments, and her body was found by a security guard at around 2am on Friday.
Paramedics were called, but were unable to save her life.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are offering assistance to the family of a British woman who has sadly died in Tenerife."
