Technology upgrade as Taunton Deane goes digital
Three towns in Taunton Deane are about to join the list of Britain's "Smart Places" with the arrival of free public WiFi.
Taunton town centre, the railway station, Wellington and Wiveliscombe, will all be connected as part of the plan.
Once the system is up and running, people will be able to access free, unlimited WiFi by connecting to through their social media accounts.
For those without social media, there'll be an initial sign up process but the system will recognise them on their return.
It's thought the service will be a big boost for businesses as they'll be able to market their services to people in the area via their phones.
Residents and visitors will be able to use the free WiFi 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
