Three drivers have been caught out by high tides causing thousands of pounds worth of damage, as they left the vehicles submerged on a beach. >Coastguards had to rush in after the tourists parked on a beach at Brean Down, as they were swamped by water.>Holidaymakers in Somerset watched on Saturday as rapidly incoming caught three separate drivers unaware in 24 hours.>An Audi A5 pictured above, was completely submerged by 7:30pm.

It took Burnham Coastguards four hours to free the car, which emerged from the depths of the sea caked in mud. The other cars were also rescued coasted in mud and wet sand after spending many hours under the sea.

The rescue's prompted coastguard's to issue a fresh warning about the dangers of high tides.
