Local elections: When are the results expected?

There are numerous elections taking place across the region with some counts taking place as soon as the polling stations close tonight, while others will take place later tomorrow (Friday).

  • Avon & Somerset Police & Crime Commissioner: Count being held at University of Bath Sports Training Village with the final result expected around 5pm

  • Dorset Police & Crime Commissioner: Count being held in Pool with the result expected around 4pm-6pm, but could be as early as 1pm

  • Gloucestershire Police & Crime Commissioner: Count is being held at the Stratford Park Leisure Centre with the result expected around 9am

  • Wiltshire Police & Crime Commissioner: Count is taking place at various locations around the county and the result is expected around 3am

  • Bristol Mayoral: Count taking place on 7th May at Parkview Office Campus with the result due between 4pm and 6pm

  • Bristol City Council: Count taking place on 8th May at Parkview Office Campus with the result due

  • Stroud Town Council: Count is being held at the Stratford Park Leisure Centre

  • Gloucester City Council: Count at the Oxstalls Tennis Centre and the result is expected around 4pm

  • Cheltenham Town Council

  • Swindon Town Council: Count is taking place at Oasis Leisure Centre with the result expected to be announced 2am
