Woman diagnosed with rare cancer writes blog to help others
A primary school teacher from Devon who had a tumour the size of a melon removed after developing a rare cancer is sharing her story in the hope of helping other women .
Sophie Martin was diagnosed at the end of January with a type of tumour of the ovary.
Only 60 women in the UK develop this kind of cancer each year. She's now started writing a blog about her experience to help raise awareness of her illness.
Sophie, who teaches at Marhamchurch School, near Bude, had been in agony for months after the rapidly growing tumour.
It was eventually measured at 15cmx14cmx12cm and was initially thought to be a simple cyst.
Sophie is still having treatment and has set up her blog to document her journey.
