Cannabis worth £20,000 seized by Avon police

The plants were found at Blagrove Crescent, Hartcliffe Credit: Avon and Somerset Police

£20,000 worth of cannabis has been seized by police in the Hartcliffe area of Bristol.

54 plants were found at Blagrove Crescent - a man was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis with intent to supply and abstracting electricity.

Five other people were arrested during the operation for drug and theft offences.

  • 2 women at separate homes in Withywood for possession of heroin and cannabis

  • 2 men who were wanted for offences including several thefts

  • 1 woman from Hartcliffe for possession of cannabis

Two uninsured cars and a quad bike were also seized in the Hartcliffe and Headley Park operation.

Police want people to help stop cannabis growers and ask that anyone who suspects there may be a factory nearby should report it by calling 101 or using the website.

  • House appearing unoccupied, or tenants who do not engage with their neighbours
