Manhunt underway for armed robbers who raided Wiltshire jewellers

Police are looking for four people who carried out an armed robbery at a jewellers in Lacock.

It happened just after 10am on Wednesday 23 March at Watling Goldsmiths in East Street.

Three people entered the shop armed with a crow bar and sledge hammer.

No one was injured, but staff were left "understandably shocked".

A fourth person is thought to have stayed outside the shop in a white car which the four used to flee the scene. A Ford Kuga was later found abandoned near Gastard.

Detective Sergeant Ian Magrath said: "We now believe four people were involved in this incident. Three of them entered the jewellers wearing balaclavas, hoods and masks, while one of them stayed in a vehicle outside.

"We believe a white 4x4 vehicle was used during the incident and would appeal to anyone who may have seen or heard a vehicle matching this description, or anything else suspicious in the area at the time to get in touch immediately.
