As councils across the region decide on their budget for the coming year, here's a run down of how you could be affected.

BRISTOL

  • Tax increase: 3.95%

  • Where's the additional money going? Housing, roads & social care

BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET (BANES)

NORTH SOMERSET

  • Tax increase: 3.74%

  • What does it mean for you? A Band D home would pay around an extra 84 pence a week

  • Where's the money going? Adult social care and frontline council services

Somerset Council sees the highest increase with 5.24% - which includes an extra levy for flood prevention work.
