Protestors interrupt Bristol Mayor's interview in Green Capital cash row

There's been anger in Bristol over how the city has spent £8 million of taxpayers money in its year as European Green Capital.

Protestors tried to overshadow a ceremony at Colston Hall which saw Bristol hand over the title to Slovenia's capital.

We spoke to Bristol Mayor George Ferguson from the venue today - he says the twelve months have been a huge success and generated £12 million in sponsorship funding.

The mayor was focusing on the highlights of the year - adding that the celebration should not be undermined by what he called "a few lunatics".
