The Tidworth based Royal Tank Regiment have entered the Guinness World record books as the first Regiment to successfully pull a Challenger 2 main battle tank over 100 metres.

80 Wiltshire soldiers pulled the Challenger Tank using two attached ropes.

They're the first to ever attempt the challenge - hence the world record. Sergeant Martin Bertie and Corporal Morgan Bannister from the regiment say that it wasn't easy.

In 1916 the first tank first rolled into offensive action during WW1.

Now, 100 years later, the Challenger 2 tank has been pulled by two ropes over 100 metres to set the new record.
