A Graffiti artist from Bristol has been jailed for 17 months after 'tagging' the Avon Gorge with his signature.

33 year-old Stephen Tiger admitted graffiting the cliff face after he spray painted "WES" across the gorge in June last year.

The cost of moving the graffiti was around £20,000 as the area is protected for scientific research.

Tiger was originally arrested for causing criminal damage in the St Paul’s area of Bristol. But after a member of the public photographed him graffiting the Avon Gorge, officers were able to identify him as the culprit.
