Man jailed for Bristol airport bomb hoax

A man from Bristol has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in jail after admitting carrying out a bomb hoax.

38-year-old Robert Boyd-Stevenson pleaded guilty to communicating false information and was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court today.

Stevenson sent a number of text messages with security threats on the 29th of August.

Emergency services were called to the airport and the airports security threat was raised, but no flights were disrupted.
