New series on Cornish fishermen debuts tonight

It's considered one of the most dangerous jobs in Britain, but tonight a new documentary will look into what motivates Cornish fisherman to repeatedly risk their lives at sea.

The three part series starts tonight on ITV and will give a rare insight into life on a trawler, as well as talking to the fisherman's families.

We spoke to a father and son who both feature in the series about what it was like having a camera crew onboard their boat.

Scott Johnstone says it took a while to get used to having a camera on board.

His son Don Liddicoat says is was nice to be able to showcase their world to the public.

Trawlerman Tales airs tonight on ITV at 8pm. You can also catch up on ITV Player.
