Watch out for a wet and windy day

A dry start but it won't last for long. There'll be outbreaks of light rain later this morning. Strong winds around the coast - could reach gale force with 50 to 60 mile an hour gusts in the north.

Turning very wet this afternoon with the arrival of another band of rain. It will be heavy and persistent. Mild again - could turn cooler with the rain.
