Eddie 'the Eagle' to be immortalised in Hollywood film

Britain's most famous ski jumper, Eddie 'The Eagle', is being immortalised in a Hollywood film.

The trailer to the film has been released which documents Eddie's journey to become Great Britain’s first Olympic ski-jumper.

The 52 year-old from Cheltenham now works as a builder and decorator in Gloucestershire, but at the 1988 Calgary Winter Games he had the whole nation rooting for him.

Eddie is played by Taron Egerton who is famed for appearing in "Kingsman: The Secret Service", and his coach is played by "Wolverine" actor Hugh Jackman:
