Only two of the West's MPs voted against Syrian air strikes

They were Karin Smyth, the Labour MP for Bristol South, and Bristol East's Kerry McCarthy, also Labour. Anti-war protestors marched through Bristol as the vote was happening.

The airstrikes were approved by a majority of 174 following a 10-hour debate in the Commons, with a total of 67 Labour MPs voting in favour of them. Party leader Jeremy Corbyn voted against.

The first strikes, which targeted oil fields, were launched in the early hours of this morning.
