Woman born with muscle wasting disease hopes to walk down the aisle
A woman from Taunton who hasn't been able to stand up since she was 9, is hoping a special type of wheelchair will help her walk down the aisle.
Jasmine Rankin was born with muscle wasting disease which restricts her movement. She's fundraising to buy a machine which costs almost £24,000 to help her get to the altar when she gets married.
The new wheelchair acts like a conventional wheelchair but it can adapt itself to lift its occupant into a standing position as it rolls along.
As well as saving money from her work in the care industry she's organising fundraising events to reach her target. She says she wants to be able to look her partner in the eye after walking down the aisle.
