A Somerset teenager temporarily abandons his world unicycle attempt after accident
A Somerset teenager has suspended his attempt to be the first person to unicycle around the world, after nearly being hit by a car in Kazakhstan.
Ed Pratt from Curry Rivel says road conditions in the country were too icy to continue.
The bad conditions caused vehicles around him to skid, and there was a minor accident. Ed said that apart from a few damaged vehicles and a bit of shock, no one was seriously hurt - and the unicycle survived unscathed.
Ed is now back in Bishkek and plans to spend the winter here and return to Kazakhstan when the roads are less dangerous next year.
He's raising money for the School in a Bag charity which provides equipment for vulnerable children around the world.
It could take two years to complete - more if the bad weather holds out.
