Concert raises £80,000 in memory of Charlotte

A charity has been set up in memory of Charlotte Morley who worked with mums with post-natal depression

A new Devon charity is to receive £80,000 pounds from a sell-out concert at Wembley Arena after the Chancellor waived the VAT on the proceeds.

The concert, by Above and Beyond, has been held in memory of Charlotte Morley, a West country nurse who worked tirelessly helping mothers with conditions like post natal depression.

Charlotte died earlier this year and her family set up the charity "Little Something", to raise money for her unit, the Devon Perinatal mental health team. It works with mums-to-be and mothers who've had babies in Exeter, North Devon and Torbay.

When you realise that the leading cause of maternal death is suicide then you understand why the team is so important.
