Parents urged to send their children to school as usual

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after threatening to carry out an attack at a school in Taunton.

The teenager is reported to have posted threats on the Facebook pages of pupils at Heathfield Community School - he has been released on bail.

The teen is alleged to have posted a hit list on Facebook of children he planned to stab and is also said to have threatened to rape a teacher during the attack.

Police have been reassuring parents and staff, and officers are on daily patrols in the area.

The alleged attack was due to take place tomorrow, Friday 13 November. Police and the head teacher are urging parents to send their children to school as usual.
