A stranded West Country couple on one of the first flights planning to leave Sharm el-Sheikh have spoken of "pure chaos" in the Egyptian resort, as thousands of tourists try to get home.

Mark and Zoe from Bristol said there were "massive queues" of people from around the world.

Tourists stranded in Egypt are beginning to fly home - Easyjet flights have left the resort for London today, but a Thomson flight expected in Bristol tonight has been cancelled.

Government security restrictions mean they will only be able to take hand luggage, leaving their suitcases behind.
